natural flea control
I have always been a dog owner, but only in the past few years have I been at war with fleas. My dogs don't even spend very much time outside, yet I have been through major infestations.
Know that you cannot ignore the fleas. They will overtake your pet, your yard, your home! But after spending hundreds of dollars on shots, powders, oils, collars, sprays and soaps I have found a preventive diet additive that really works! I have used garlic for eradicating tapeworms in my dogs (which by the way can come from ingesting a single flea!). My discovery with the garlic was that when used as a supplement on a daily basis, the garlic acts as a repellent for fleas AND ticks! I mix a half a clove of garlic in the dogs breakfast every day during "flea season" and we no longer have the annual infestation. There are no bad odors associated with this routine either, except to the pests! |
